5 Day tour in Armenia
Day 1. Yerevan – airport – hotel – walk in Yerevan
Arrival in Yerevan. Meeting at the airport “Zvartnots” and transfer to the hotel in Yerevan. After the rest, evening walking tour in Yerevan - Cascade, Opera House, Northern Avenue, Republic Square. Return to the hotel.
Day 2. Yerevan - Khor Virap - Noravank - Areni
Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to the ancient Khor Virap Monastery known for its location - from where opens breathtaking view of the Biblical Mount Ararat, where, according to the legend, appeared Noah on the ark after the Flood. Then we continue our way to the monastery complex of Noravank (XIII century), built among the red rocks. After, visiting the winery in the village Areni, wine tasting made from the local grapes. Return to Yerevan.
Day 3. Yerevan - Yerevan Brandy Factory - Echmiadzin - Zvartnots
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Yerevan Brandy Factory, brandy tasting. Excursion to the holy city of Echmiadzin - the spiritual center of Armenia. We will visit the Echmiadzin Cathedral, which was erected in the VI, visit the church of St. Guyana and St. Hripsime, which are included in UNESCO World Heritage Site, on our return to Yerevan we will also visit ruins of Zvartnots temple (7 c.)
Day 4. Yerevan - Garni - Geghard – lake Sevan - Sevanavank
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the pagan temple Garni (1st. AC). Then we head to the ancient monastery of Geghard (IV c.). We continue our way to the 'blue pearl' of Armenia - Lake Sevan - the biggest lake in the Caucasus, one of the world’s largest high mountain freshwater lakes. Visiting Sevanavank Monastery founded in 874.
Day 5. Yerevan - airport
Departure from the hotel, transfer to the airport.
